1958 Silver Arrow – The Sports Car of the Waterways

The Auto-Boat was born when Chris-Craft released its Silver Arrow in 1958 with the same shade of metallic blue that Chevrolet applied to it’s Corvette and added a flared fin copied from a Buick.  It was affectionately termed the “sports car of the waterways”.  As one of only 92 manufactured, this 1958 beauty was completely restored in the Netherlands from 2007-2011. The tango red and white with the silver blue is absolutely stunning and the restoration detail appears to be impeccable.

She’s 19′ in length and seats 5.  The rebuilt 283 Chris-Craft V8 moves her along up to a smooth 42 mph. The seller states that the boat has been restored with all original parts and has a new bottom.  The popping red and white upholstery, chrome instruments and varnish are completely renewed as well. The hull is wood covered by fiberglass.  The seller is asking 80,000 € ($95,944). Seems like a great opportunity to go see her and the Netherlands! You’ll find her here.
