Olukai Nohea Moku

Nohea Moku by OluKai

OluKai has definitely upped the boat shoe game with their Nohea Moku. Key is the no-tie laces and stretch bootie design. But we particularly love the drop down heel, because (let’s face it) its the way we really like to wear our shoes. And of course they are crafted with water resistant fabric and a skid resistant sole for wear on deck.

“Men’s Weekend” from Vessi

These new waterproof sneakers from Vessi may not be designed for boating in particular, but they’re pretty ideal. Instead of being coated with waterproofing chemicals, their patented fabric knit does the job, without sacrificing breathability.

Super easy to maintain, they’re machine washable and built to last, with molded insoles for comfort.

Available in four different colorways and ready for pre-order.

OBRA Canvas Slip-ons

We’ve tested the heck out of these Terra Canvas Slip-ons from OBRA, and they’ve become some of our favorite boat/dock shoes. Unlike other slip-ons we also like from Van’s or Seavees, these are really designed for comfort, with a running shoe-like insert that truly supports your arch and heel, providing all day stability.

While the company is headquartered in New York, the shoes are built in Southern Brazil, in a family-held factory with over 75 years of footwear tradition. The build quality is excellent, and with the wrap-around rubber forefoot, they’re strong enough for real boat work.

$120. Available in several colorways and models.

Cariuma Pantone Classic Blue Knit Shoe

We’ve had our eye on the whole line of Cariuma shoes from Brazil, and are especially digging this new limited edition designed in collaboration with PANTONE. Using PANTONE’s 2020 Color of the Year, Classic Blue, they’re built from self-regenerating bamboo and recycled plastics from heel to toe. The color is meant to be grounding, meditative, and trustworthy. Regardless, they’re an ideal fit for your boating lifestyle.

The upper and lining are of Perfect-fit Bamboo Knit (bamboo and recycled PET), with a removable lightweight memory foam and cork insole. The outsole is constructed of green EVA made from sugarcane, and the laces are of recycled and recyclable plastic bottle threads.

Mulo espadrilles

Mulo Espadrilles

The word espadrilles might as well mean yacht life. We found a pair from London-based Mulo that’s a nice blend of stylish casual. Using the slim silhouette of an oxford to build their slip-on espadrilles, Mulo creates this lightweight summer slip-on from premium materials that allows your feet to breathe.

Mulo espadrilles

They’ve done away with the traditional espadrille rope sole, for a cushiony rubber-crepe outsole and leather foot bed. Their textured linen uppers and braided trim creates a pair of coastal-ready shoes that pretty much demands a voyage to Waiheke Island or Saint Kitts. Ship ahoy!

Body Glove Water Shoe

Body Glove Water Shoe

Ok, so this shoe is about function not fashion. The Body Glove water shoe provides protection for your footsies when busting out on a JetSki, kayak, SUP paddle, fishing or simply walking the beach or trails. The shoe is 100% thermoplastic polyurethane with a rubber sole for flexibility, protection and comfort. The toe shoe design has three toe pockets to allow for additional stability and protection for the little toes. Body Glove’s Integrated Drainage System (IDS) allows for water and air to move through the shoe for breathability — because we hate that soggy feet feeling.
