Seawool Fisherman Sweater

Seawool sets a great example for sustainable textiles. It shares many of the same qualities we love about merino wool. It’s soft to the touch, regulates temperature, quick drying, antimicrobial, and durable as all get out.

The Peacoat from Rag and Bone

The peacoat has been a naval staple since the Dutch navy began wearing them in the 1800s. The name, in case you wondered, derives from the Dutch word “pije”, which describes a coat made of coarse wool fabric. Today’s peacoats have evolved somewhat, becoming leaner in the fit and softer to the touch, but still serve as excellent piece of nautical gear – with the added benefit of keeping you sharp on shore.

One of our favorites is this example from Rag and Bone, out of New York. It is constructed of 100% Shetland wool, features the traditional double-breasted front, a highly-visible quilted orange lining, and elegant leather touches under the collar and along the chest pockets.

Made in the USA and available at Rag and Bone.
