Chinampa Houseboat

Chinampa Houseboat

Here’s an idea. Go live on this stunning house boat until the world gets back to normal. “Chinampa” is a 58 foot widebeam canal boat guilt in 2013. The name meaning “floating gardens” is a name given to floating masses of land used for cultivation by the Aztecs. This beautiful vessel has a spectacular interior designed by the owners complete with retro and reclaimed furnishings. The bedroom is so cozy we just want to curl up and read a book.

And you are all set for gourmet cooking/dining. The galley kitchen is assembled from a reclaimed plans chest, iroko hard wood worktop from Retrouvius, bespoke cupboard doors made from western red cedar, a Butler sink, antique brass taps and hotpoint stainless steel gas and electric hob and a fridge freezer.

The boat is solar powered so you can go 100% off grid, and not fret about finding dock side power. She’s great for long term mooring or long cruising.

Chinampa is for sale and located in Regents Canal, London. Mooring is not included.
