Having been longtime fans of the illustrator Malika Favre, we’re really digging this new line of swim shorts she’s designed with Arrels. Even better than their aesthetics are the values embodied in their production, like the fact that they’re constructed from plastic bottles found in the Mediterranean Sea, and that with every purchase Arrels Barcelona donates 1€ to Surfrider Foundation Europe, an international foundation that works to protect our oceans. Handmade in Portugal, they’re incredibly soft, yet durable. And totally cool, with lots of variations in length and design.
Tired of how most boardshorts all kinda look the same these days? We are too. These somewhat whacky striped shorts from Goodlife are a change of pace. Their updated single layer boardshorts feature a 7″ inseam with a printed stripe, scalloped hem and contrast waistband. Made from a uniquely textured polyester with natural stretch, quick-dry and anti-snag finishing, they’ve reduced the weight from their earlier boardshort model by removing the second layer of fabric. Details include black metal logoed drawcord tips, logo on interior velcro closure and a back pocket with a drain hole and key loop.
Available in four colorways for $125 at Goodlife/
