Vicem is known for their classic lines, luxurious design and quality craftsmanship. Vicem’s story started in a tiny Turkey Black Sea town of the same name. In the 1980’s Sebahattin Hafizoglu developed a passion for the storied schooners of the Bosporus known as the Turkish Gulet. He reinterpret them for modern sensibilities, using state-of-the-art cold molded wood and epoxy techniques and formally launched Vicem Yachts in 1991.
Saracen is a 2003 Vicem 42 classic. Her Khaya mahogany and epoxy composite construction make for an incredibly strong and light hull, and stepping aboard gives the firm feel that only solid teak and mahogany can produce.
