The Best Of Boat WorldsTM

Puffin, a 1988 Tashiba 36

These Ta Shing-built, Robert Perry-designed Tashibas are well-sought after cruising classics, like their cousins the Babas and the Pandas. When Puffin was launched, the Ta Shing boatyard was at the top of their game- with top quality materials and truly over the top details. Puffins interior exemplifies the incredible teak joinery characteristic of Ta Shing, with louvered locker doors, laminated door frames and a beautiful salon table.

Her large hatches and white laminate overhead and cabin-sides provide a bright contrast to the warmth of the interior. Her two stateroom, one head layout (with separate shower stall) and a spacious “Perry” galley is ideal for a liveaboard cruising couple. Puffin’s owners have clearly maintained her well, with the entire boat appearing to be in fantastic condition. Her Yanmar 44hp has a little over 1200 hours and she comes with a Monitor self-steering windvane, not currently installed. She’s had many recent upgrades and improvements, like new running rigging, spar paint, bottom job, refrigerator and much more. She even comes with a Freiberger Drum-Sextant in wood case mounted in the aft stateroom.

Listed by Swiftsure Yachts in Seattle for $129,000.
