This Morris M36 is about as proper a daysailer as you can get. Harpoon is a Sparkman and Stephens design, and was built as a tenth anniversary model. She has been featured at the Annapolis Boat show many times, and a quick glance at these beautiful photos makes it clear as to why. As Morris rightly puts it, “Harpoon incorporates all that has made the M36 such a success, embodying an elegant simplicity in the approach to day sailing and a combination of beautiful, traditional aesthetics with modern naval architecture and construction.”
Perfectly maintained, Harpoon doesn’t need a single thing. She comes equipped with a full array of Raymarine electronics, carbon fiber mast, self-tacking jib, Harken furling mainsail unit, and upgraded sails with 3DL Marathon sail cloth. Her Sunbrella canvas work is tastefully chosen, and complement the beautiful design of every line.
M36’s have simple, fairly spartan Herreshoff-style interiors – designed for sailing above all else. With electric main self-tailing winches, hydraulic backstay adjusters and the like, they’re easily sailed solo.
Harpoon is currently in Oxford, Maryland and is listed at $395K USD.
