Selkie, is a shining example of the beautiful Alerion Express 33. Built in 2009, she’s been impeccably maintained, with fresh brightwork in 2019, and new North Sails in 2015. She features the models standard Hoyt Jib Boom and electric winches, making her a snap to sail singlehanded.
She sports her original 20hp Yanmar with sail drive. Her interior is in exceptional condition – light and inviting with little to maintain. Her cabin is designed for weekending, with relatively spartan features, yet allows plenty of natural light and comfortable settees and berths.
Alerion Yachts are of course inspired by the very boat Nathanael Herreshoff designed and built for himself in 1912, a 26-foot mahogany planked daysailer named Alerion III. While the modern Alerions are obviously fully modernized, their muse is visible in their simple, elegant interiors, long sheers with pretty overhangs, and focus on pure sailing abilities.
Selkie is harbored in Sausalito, California with a slip that can be transfered to her new owners, if desired. Listed by Seattle Yachts for
