This beautiful Tayana 48DS, WINDWARD, has only had one owner – Russ Ward, radio icon for NBC radio, and she was commissioned with shorthanded sailing in mind. She’s cruised everywhere from Nova Scotia to the Caribbean, and has been continually well-maintained.

This model is well known for being powerful and fast, and extremely well built for offshore cruising. She has an upgraded 100hp Yanmar, and a Westerbeke genset. She’s easily maneuvered in harbor with a Vetus bowthruster, and has electric halyard and primary winches. With a furling main, genoa and staysail, she’s easily managed and comes with a full suite of electronics. She’ll even keep you comfy in the tropics with a 26000 BTU air conditioning system.
