Taiwan’s reknowned boat builder Ta Shing and famed British designer/architect Bill Dixon created a true blue water classic with the highestquality materials and workmanship – The Taswell 49.
To this day, these Taswell’s are a remarkable value, given their seaworthiness, their spacious interiors, and world famous craftsmanship. With roomy heads with tall showers, cedar lined lockers, satin varnished teak everywhere with spruce cabin sole, and thick hand laid fiberglass hull – these are go anywhere boats, overbuilt by today’s standards.
Windsong is a fine example. Well maintained and thoughtfully updated.
She has a generously-sized forward cabin with a full-width berth, upholstered ultra-suede settee to starboard, mirrored vanity and storage cabinet, roomy cedar-lined hanging locker, five spacious drawers and two storage lockers. She has a spacious guest cabin on the portside aft. It features extra long upper and lower single berths, a generous cedar-lined hanging locker, voluminous storage lockers and drawers.
Aft and to starboard of the forward V-berth is the guest head that has a separate shower stall with seat. Further aft is Windsong’s luxurious main salon. Outfitted in the finest teak it is suprisingly spacious, with a large oval table with surrounding banquette, two captainschairs, and, of course the wine cabinet.
The master stateroom is further aft, past the navigation table, where she has a centerline island queen-sized berth. These yachts are famous for their luxurious appointments and warm, rich woodwork. Windsong’s has clearly been well kept.
With a long list of upgraded equipment and improvements, she’s ready to take her new owners anywhere in the world in comfort.
|She is listed in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for $339,000 USD.|
