2003 Cabo Rico Pilothouse

Pilothouses often get dinged for their ungainly appearances, but we dare say that this Cabo Rico 42PH has a beautiful profile to match her extraordinary attention to detail. Sea Pilot is hull #1 of the pilothouse version of the successful and proven 42 designed by Chuck Paine. She has benefitted by the care and attention of her original and only owner, who specified the finest equipment and exceptional maintenance.

Her interior features a private forward stateroom, a dedicated and generous galley, and a wonderful pilothouse salon with excellent visibility. Her interior wood work is built to a quality rarely seen today and is in fantastic condition, creating a warm, inviting place to seek respite from the elements. She has storage cubbies galore, and special attention has been paid to temperature control, with screens on every hatch and ventilation throughout.

The pilothouse itself is a special place, with a comfortable, fully-adjustable captains chair, its own AC unit, a large dinette and even a workbench. The headroom in the pilothouse is almost 6.5 feet.

The aft cabin is built for a cruising couple, with plenty of storage, bookshelves and a double berth over 6″ long. The galley is well considered in its design, and features a trash compactor, main and supplementary refrigerator/freezers, fresh and saltwater pumps and even a washer/dryer. The forward cabin is gorgeous, with a full walk around queen sized bed with Pillowsoft spring mattress that lifts to reveal massive storage.

She comes with a full-suite of Furuno electronics, AC and Heat, cellphone booster and Simrad autopilot. Her dinghy is included which rides comfortably on Kato davits while the outboard is mounted on the stern rail and lifted on and off the boat with a mechanical purchase system on its own lift. She comes with abundance of extra high-quality gear that will allow her next skipper to get on board and go.
