Here’s another gorgeous Seguin 44 designed by Sparkman and Stephens and built by the legendary Lyman-Morse boatbuilding company in Camden, Maine. Journey’s End was built in 1981, and is a splendid example of these beautiful yachts, which were hand laid-up utilizing foam coring above the waterline and a solid glass hull below the water line.
The teak deck on Journey’s End is both modern and classic in feel. A close look will reveal that the decks have no bungs. Having been completely replaced in 2014 with a laminated Teak Decking System they offer added protection for the sub decks with out losing the classic proven feel of teak. Along with the new decks, all exterior wood was stripped and refinished in 2015 and the chain plates where pulled for inspection and then rebedded.
Journey’s End looks like a classic from every angle, yet is well-equipped with modern equipment like electric winches, carbon fiber spars, furling main sail and a full suite of electronics.
Listed at $225,000 in Portland Maine.
