Meet Dakota, a beautifully restored Ed Monk designed 1953 De Vries Lentsch 68 Motoryacht. Ed Monk was a famous Naval Architect who designed many boats over the years. This sweetheart was built in the G. De Vries Lentsch yard in Amsterdam, Holland before Feadship existed. We find her white and tan interior decor to be strikingly cozy.
The previous owner replaced 70% of the steel on the hull. The owner reports that the vessel had a complete refit in 2004 at Hansen Yachts in Seattle, where the hull bottom plates were replaced, interior completely re-furbished and the engines rebuilt.
The current owner acquired the vessel around 2005. He added the flybridge, extended the salon, and refurbished the interior. She was just hauled at the boatyard and had the bottom inspected and painted this month.
She’s simply a gorgeous classic and listed for $1M.
